Highfield Cricket Club
Welcome to Highfield Cricket Club, members of The Liverpool and District Cricket Competition and an ECB premier league club. We were also delighted to win Wigan Sports Club of the Year in 2010. Highfield CC is a well established club having been founded in 1924 and is recognised by the ECB as one of its "Focus" clubs. The club runs 4 senior teams and 6 junior teams across five age groups from under 9's.
Highfield CC has traditional values and has become a focal point for the local community. It is respected as a place where young children can be coached and play cricket in a safe and child friendly environment, and has both achieved and retained Clubmark accreditation. The clubs key policies, including its Equity Policy, Codes of Conduct and a general Information Pack, are available to all members via the "Postings" section of the Community section of this website. Please note that you need to be a registered member of this website to access that particular part of the website, which we do encourage, as you should find the club website particularly useful and informative.
Thank you for continuing to visit the club website! Our concerted efforts to regularly update the site with regular news, scorecards and reports paid dividends in 2011, as the site stats show that we have had a further 10% increase in the number of visits to the site.
As always though, we'd still like to see more from our members and fans! Is there anything you'd like to see on here? Is there anything that would attract you more to the site? If there is something that's been missed or you'd like to see, then feel free to drop us a line, or post away in the Forum's section as that's what it's there for!
Also if you are involved in the Club then please become an on-line member. Could those members who have already registered please check their details are up to date (some people have changed e-mail, telephone numbers etc.). Please delete or amend any old membership details rather than just creating a new member category.
On line members can enjoy all the member only areas and functions on the site and it would help greatly if all players could register.
Benefits include being able to:
- Check team sheets and meeting times on the web site
- Look at up to date averages
- Provide information on availability
- Receive up to date information on forthcoming events by e-mail
Also there is now another way to keep up to date with news around the club - via our facebook page.
Take care, and we'll see you at the next Net Session or for refreshments in the HF Gaskell Lounge.
Yours in Cricket,
HCC Web Team
